Author: John Green
What is it about?
John Green describes his book as “the story of Hazel Lancaster and Augustus Waters, two Indianapolis teenagers who meet at a Cancer Kid Support Group.”
What did you think of it, and why did you pick it up?
I thought it was very good; fantastically written and hilarious, inspiring, and sad all at once. I found out about John’s books through his You Tube channel Vlog Brothers, which he shares with his brother Hank.
Star Rating: * * * * *
Who would enjoy reading this?
Although it’s classified as Young Adult, I think adults would love it as well.

Quotation from Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, Act 1, scene 2 line 140
Cassius: Men at some time are masters of their fates.
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars
But in ourselves, that we are underlings.
Translation into modern English by No Fear Shakespeare
Cassius: Men can be masters of their fate.
It is not destiny’s fault, but
our own faults, that we’re slaves.
